Ask anyone who has been there: Zermatt is a real paradise for snow lovers: the latest equipment immersed in a pristine landscape.

Its location, hospitality, history, excellent gastronomy, environmental protection, many events ... you have a wealth of choices, whether you are an expert, a novice, you’re on holiday with friends or family.
Located at approximately 1600 meters of height, in Switzerland, in the canton of Valais, Zermatt will astonish you with its extraordinary landscapes and the beauty of the Cervino mythical mountain, which dominates this area.
Among the must-see experiences to do here is definitely the traditional little train that goes from Zermatt up to 3200 meters in Gornergrad, nestled among the slopes, tunnels, walls of snow. Worth of mentioning is the underground funicular railway, an example of truly unique infrastructure, and the ice Palace, where you can enjoy the thrill of going down up to 15 meters inside the glacier.

Skiing in Zermatt: the ski tracks

Zermatt is part of the Matterhorn Ski Paradise ski area, along with Valtournenche and Breuil Cervinia.
A total of over 350 kilometers of extraordinary slopes exploitable throughout winter and over 26 kilometers of slopes for summer skiing, thanks to the glacier.
One of the most spectacular downhills is definitely the one from Klein Matterhorn to Zermatt: it starts from 3880 meters and it reaches 1620 meters! A mix of slopes of different difficulties crisscross among spectacular views, curves, bends, walls of snow and the descent ends up in the woods, at the constant presence of 4478 meters of the majestic Cervino.
