Skiing off-piste means experiencing extraordinary emotions in close contact with the snow and freedom. Choose Switzerland to fully enjoy this experience!

Off-piste: a word that alone puts the adrenaline chills down the spine.
To practice freeride safely, it is necessary to take into account some important factors: first of all knowing and paying attention to the territory, observing, understanding what is happening around us is fundamental to glide safely. Of course, we must take into account the weather report and potential avalanches. Then, you need to have the right equipment: the helmet, the phone, the avalanche transceiver, the shovel and the probe should be never missing in the "baggage" of the perfect free rider. It is also advised not to venture alone; in off-piste skiing, you're better in company! And if you don’t feel sure about it, don’t hesitate to go with a mountain guide or a ski instructor who will guide you through the magical world of the non-tracked trails.
Freeriding is not a "child's play", it takes fitness and training, but if done safely, in contact with nature and the thrill of downhill, it becomes a sensation, which will be hard to give up!
The advantage of Switzerland is that here, freeriding, is a common practice, well accepted, with large spaces made safe to fully enjoy this sport.

The off-piste in Switzerland: locations

When it comes to off-piste, the first name to be mentioned is definitely Verbier: in the legendary Les 4 Vallées ski area, one of the largest in Switzerland. This range offers a large area designed for off-piste skiing, descending from Col des Gentianes and Tortin, from 2950 meters to 2050 meters.
Unmissable also the Metterhorn Ski Paradise, between Valtournenche, Breuil-Cervinia and Zermatt, 36 kilometers of off-piste slopes safely adapted to practice freeriding.
An hour and a half from Zurich there is Laax, historical theater of the Ski World Cup, much loved by snowboarders, it is also a paradise for freeride.
